{"id":170,"date":"2008-12-16T11:39:23","date_gmt":"2008-12-16T17:39:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/runningok.jankowskis.net\/?p=170"},"modified":"2008-12-16T11:39:23","modified_gmt":"2008-12-16T17:39:23","slug":"back-in-the-pool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/runningok.jankowskis.net\/?p=170","title":{"rendered":"Back in the Pool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My sweet wife insisted that I get out of bed this morning and get to the Y for some exercise.\u00a0 I complied, but somewhat reluctantly.\u00a0 C: the alarm had only gone off once, I swear.\u00a0 But thanks for threatening the cold water.<\/p>\n<p>Got out of the driveway and the Jeep was slipping and sliding.\u00a0 Noticed fine particles falling from the sky.\u00a0 Realised it must be sleeting\/snowing\/freezing raining.\u00a0 Slowly made it to the Y with little trouble.\u00a0 Getting across the parking lot on foot was much more of a feat.\u00a0 Got in about 10 minutes of stretching, and sauntered over to the pool.\u00a0 Not a soul in the water, so had the enjoyment of making waves in an otherwise still body of water.\u00a0 Not too much has been lost in form during the 5 month layoff.\u00a0 But I&#8217;ve definitely not been using those swimming muscles.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not looking forward to tomorrow am.\u00a0 Put in 3x 150m free and 3x 100m breast.\u00a0 Good stuff until getting on I-35 to head to work.\u00a0 The normally 20-25 min commute turned into 1.25 hours.\u00a0 Bleech.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My sweet wife insisted that I get out of bed this morning and get to the Y for some exercise.\u00a0 I complied, but somewhat reluctantly.\u00a0 C: the alarm had only gone off once, I swear.\u00a0 But thanks for threatening the cold water.
